Regulatory framework of this project

PEP is available in the hospitals recognized as HIV Reference Centres (HRC) and a contribution in the cost of PEP is provided by the RIZIV-INAMI. On the 26th of December 2015, a royal decree was published on the conditions regarding the contribution of the RIZIV-INAMI in the cost of the PEP in case of exposure to HIV (BS 29 December 2015 (C–2015/22559). A convention for the PEP between the HRC and RIZIV-INAMI has been signed. The convention and the royal decree foresee the obligation of the HRC to participate in the data collection organized in collaboration with the WIV-ISP (previous name of Sciensano) (16 December 2015).
