Brief project description
The Belgian Neuromuscular Disease Registry (BNMDR) was created in 2008. It is managed by Sciensano and collects data from 7 neuromuscular reference centers. Its goals are to:
a) enable epidemiological research to evaluate the importance of the diseases and the patient characteristics;
b) provide information to the public health authorities for planning of health care in Belgium;
c) promote health services for patients having a neuromuscular disease; d) improve recruitment for clinical trials.
