This code list contains SNOMED CT coded specimen collection methods, being the method used for obtaining the sample which will be used for laboratory testing. This general list is not exhaustive and can be supplemented as needed, depending on the data collection use. (Internal codes may exist in case of clinical terms which can’t be coded with SNOMED CT).
