SPECIMEN_SOURCE

This code list contains SNOMED CT coded ‘specimen sources’, being the sample material that is not collected directly from the patient but comes from a patient related object (e.g. catheter tip). This general list is not exhaustive and can be supplemented as needed, depending on the data collection use. (Internal codes may exist in case of clinical terms which can’t be coded with SNOMED CT).
