This “Health Professional Identification Number “ code list contains all active Belgian physicians based on their full NIHDI identification number (containing 11 digits). Also recently inactivated physicians are kept in the list for 6 months. This list is updated on a monthly basis.

This code list contains all Belgian main municipalities (« hoofdgemeentes » / « communes principales »). This excludes all sub-municipalities which are listed in the PLACE OF RESIDENCE code list.

This code list is only updated in case of direct requests through the healthdata.be support center. For each hospital ward the code value starts with a 3-digit code which is the NIHDI hospital recognition number (middle part of the hospital NIHDI identification number).
